How to Use Class.Live

If you are a learner or a student, here is how you go about registering and attending a Class.live session

• Register on the portal, and provide your learning objectives.
• Find an Expert and book your session
• Pay for the class
• Show up at the appointed time
• The expert could provide follow-up material for you to read after the session.
• You can view the video recording of the Class.Live session for two weeks after the class
• Book any additional sessions as needed. Since there are several experts in a given field, it is also a good idea to get diverse views on an individual topic.

If you are a subject matter expert or a tutor, here is how you go about registering and teaching on Class.Live.

• Register as an expert
• Provide complete details on your capabilities. Include any outside links (research papers, publications, newspaper articles etc) to establish your credibility.
• Clearly state what you are teaching and what students will learn in their one-hour session.
• Include any documents and other collateral that the students will get at the end of the session.
• Finally indicate the amount you want to charge, as a new entrant in the platform we suggest you charge less than market rate and then gradually increase it once you get some ratings and credibility.
• The terms of the platform currently are, that the student can cancel up to 24 hours before the session for a full refund. If the student fails to show up for the appointed class, you will get paid the full amount.
• Once a student registers for one of your classes, you will get an email notification and a dashboard entry for new class registration.
• Please log into the Zoom session 5 minutes early to set up the class and introduce yourself to the student.
• Keep the conversation fluid and make sure that the student understands the concepts that they came to learn. ‘
• Once the class is over, you can send them follow-up material or offer to help them over email for any further questions. It is totally up to you and you will not be compensated for this additional effort (however this could lead to better student satisfaction and follow-up classes/recommendations)
• The more the student learns, the better the chances of them recommending you to others, your ratings get higher, and your ability to charge more for your services increases. It's a virtuous cycle!
• 7 days after the class, the experts get paid 85% of the student fees. Our platform usage fee is a reasonable 15%. You should get paid within 7 days of the teaching session.
